What is the present progressive form of "dormirse"?

Dormir means to sleep. Dormirse means to fall asleep.

Yo duermo. I sleep.

Yo estoy durmiendo. I'm sleeping.

Yo me duermo. I fall asleep.

Yo me estoy durmiendo. I'm falling asleep.

And as K..... says "yo me estoy durmiendo refers to an event that takes a very short period of time..............zzzz...........when I'm finishing the "do" of "durmiendo" I'm probably asleep. LOL

Keep in mind that dormirse means falling asleep / going to sleep.

Dormir is used for sleeping.

I think it would be sort of unusual to use dormirse in the present continuous because it is is a relatively short event compared with the actual sleeping.
