what does "como son tus mejores amigos" mean?

I have some spanish homework that requires me to answer the questions that are being asked, in spanish. I cannot figure out what the question "como son tus mejores amigos" means? PLEASE HELP!

The translation isn't a literal one. It means "What are your best friends like?" Are you sure your teacher didn't go over this in class?

You should make an attempt first. In order for you to get the best out of this site, you should ask your question and give us your own answer/version. If we just give you the answer at first without any previous work on your side, your learning will be hampered. We don't want that.

Just this once:

¿Cómo son tus mejores amigos? (What are your best friends like? or What do your best friends look like?)

Both translations are correct. If it's not clear what the other person is asking you about just by the context, you should ask back-up questions.
