¡Hola a todos! (Hello, everyone!)

This is information is provided so that if you or anyone else reports problems getting on SD you will know what to do and what advice to give others. smile

Some time ago, I reported that I had been having a hard time getting on SpanishDict.com. Sometimes I would get a blank screen with a line of computer mumbo jumbo. Then I got some other message and I was not able to get on SD at all. That's when I called my internet provider and found out that I needed to clear my browsing history.

I'm not sure I'm explaining this correctly but the computer stores data (I guess called a cache) and sometimes that information gets corrupted. It's no big deal. All that means is some of the information gets botched up. I thought the problem was with SD, not my laptop, because I was not having any other problems getting on other websites. The fact that it was only happening on this website and the fact that this problem was not widely reported on SD pointed to the cache being the problem. So I cleared my browsing history a little while ago and it has completely solved the problem.

I hope this information can help others should anyone encounter the same problem.

Good advice, I have to remember to do that periodically. In a manner that does not lose the passwords I have forgotten. :) - bosquederoble, May 2, 2017
Here's the good news, bosque: when you clear your browsing history you do not need to have passwords checked. - Sassette, May 2, 2017
Here's the bad news, when they switch to windows 8, I ceased to know how to find or do anything. :( - bosquederoble, May 2, 2017
Glad you figured that out. So much stress and frustration disappeared and has not returned since then. - Nickelbackfan1, May 2, 2017
Love the graphic, Sassy! - rac1, May 2, 2017
Thanks, Ambette. Glad to hear success on your end too, Nickelbackfan. I'm on Windows 10, bosque, but you can clear browsing history in Google Chrome. - Sassette, May 2, 2017
