raised bed for gardening

Question

I use raised beds for my garden and I'd like to confirm the correct translation to spanish. I have discovered three possibilities: - cama elevada - cantero - arriate

Which should I use?

I suspect there are regional differences- I have no idea who uses what where.

Lecho elevado is one possibilty

I have seen macizo (de flores) used for a bed. Parterre I am not sure of, may be possible.

How about huertera elevada (this is new to me, I just ran across looking at cantero):

I think lecho elevado is the right term for Mexico, but I am not sure- other regional preferences I have no guess at. Maybe a native speaker will tell us if they know what is used in their area. :) - bosquederoble, May 1, 2017

I'm pretty sure that "cama elevada" would be used to refer to the kind of bed that one sleeps in, if it is elevated on a platform, for instance. I suggest "bancal elevado."

I believe that bancal refers to a terrace, which is a form of raised bed, but different from a non-terraced raised bed. - RichKoz, May 1, 2017
