How cute! There's a hedgehog in the flowers.

2: El erizo se infló cuando se le acercó un pez más grande.

The porcupine fish puffed up when a bigger fish swam near it.

Note:

"Erizo de mar" is the Spanish term for "sea urchin."

Like sea stars, sea urchins normal have a fivefold symmetry, which might help strengthen their bodies.

Sonic the Hedgehog was one of my favorite games on the SEGA video game system. Unfortunately the SEGA system went out of fashion, as well as it's games.

Bosque: In "Petting a hedgehog" is not easy to do, the phrase in quotes is the subject and no preposition would be used in Spanish. This says ... "It is not easy to pet" Here, the hedgehog is the subject so D E is required. Agree? - DilKen, Apr 25, 2017

After pondering the comments in the resource Q&A; I believed both changes necessary - to reflect It as the subject in the second phrase (from it's) and in accord with using an infinitive as a "noun like" word requiring preposition "de." - Esteban_317, Apr 25, 2017

I don't think so, I think you have to have one or the other. When you use "de" you make el erizo the subject, when you add lo you make el erizo the object. I think it can only be one or the other. My suggestion was simply an alternative to Ken's. :) - bosquederoble, Apr 25, 2017

By adding a final "it " to the English sentence - I think it clarifies that the infinitive is being used as an action - (having a built in "to" translation for the English meaning) and thus I struck the "de" from the Spanish. - hopefully that works. - Esteban_317, Apr 25, 2017
