But I got a cup and a shirt because it was the best price. The shirt was about 7$ and The mug was 4$. The person from the souvenir place was so nice. after we got the souvenirs me and my family walked and tried to find different souvenir shops. but we did not find one, but instead we found a nice coffee shop and bought a small coffee holder that was about 7$. I had so much fun in NYC and wanted to stay longer.

Welcome to SpanishDict. - rac1, Apr 20, 2017
Luis' and the other translations are good, but what is an "ad" verb? I have been teaching Spanish for many years, and never heard of such a thing. - Daniela2041, Apr 21, 2017
Do you mean "adverbs"? I have a hard time with poor English. Your title should read. " ---I need to use as M A N Y adverbs as well." - Daniela2041, Apr 21, 2017
daniela I didn't know what ad-verbs were. I thought possibly vos. commands or adverbs but he hasn;t used either! - Mardle, Apr 21, 2017

Thanks Luis. I didn't realize para elegir was so easy! Much easier than English...to choose from, or for those that don't like ending in prepositions, from which to choose :) - DilKen, Apr 20, 2017

I'll give it a first crack. I'm still a learner so there are probably some things to fix in my version also. Wait a bit and a native speaker will probably help us out.

I changed a few of the verbs in English to avoid too much repetition.
You like to use "got" a lot smile You also used find/found and encontrar a lot.
There are several synonyms for these which would make for more pleasant reading if used.

I've bolded some of the words that I changed to make it easier to see the changes.

thank you so much! I am going to wait for a couple more hours. but wow ! thank you so much! - minsulee12, Apr 20, 2017
You Spanish is correct ;) - 000a35ff, Apr 20, 2017
Very good Ken. The verb 'coseguir' must be conjugated as in Luís's post unless you were going to say: Fui a Nueva York para conseguir (algo) ...but comprar would be better in my opinión. - FELIZ77, Apr 21, 2017

A/B you can use the two options

(1). To get conseguir would be more acurate but in Spanish if you use this verb in this sentence it seems that the goal of your travel is to get the souvenirs . If in English you can use to buy use comprar in Spanish. Conseguir is more used for something that implies you an effort or when you are luky and get a bargain. (2 ) when you are speaking about somebody and you, being polite it must be somebody and me. Not me and somebody. (3) suvenir is admited but is prefered to use recuerdo.

Please correct my English - 000a35ff, Apr 20, 2017
accurate. Reason for or aim of sounds better here to me [but goal isn't wrong] Conseguir is used more for ... - Mardle, Apr 20, 2017
something that implies you made an effort or when you are lucky ..suvenr is admissable/used but recuerdo is preferable - Mardle, Apr 20, 2017
more colloquial 'suvenir' is OK but 'recuerdo' is better. - Mardle, Apr 20, 2017
