There are many native English speakers here, most of us can offer great suggestions to the English sentences. I will do my best to go through them all, too. Hay un idioma en inglés "para serpentearr en el viento", que significa más o menos sufrir (a menudo castigo) solo y sin apoyo.
There is an idiom in English "to twist in the wind," which means roughly to suffer (often punishment) alone and without support.
