How do you write: "Thank you in advance"

Question

I am ending a letter with: Thank you in advance for taking the time to compete this interview! And the suggestion for advance is "antemano", but I've never used this word before. I get ¡Gracias de antemano por tomarse el teimpo para completar esta entrevista! when I ask Googe translate. The rest makes sense to me, just not the "antemano". Is this correct? Or should I just scrap the "in advance" portion?

Gracias por adelantado

Gracias de antemano

Agradezco de antemano su participación... (interés, respuesta, etc.)

I agree with the sentiment expressed by Oshnaj.

If you really want to impress the reader with either your knowledge of Spanish or your sensitivity to their culture you should find similar letters written by Spanish speakers and emulate the phrases they use rather than just trying to translate something you would say in English.

I'm sure you can find useful examples by doing an internet search.

I agree, I decided to just omit it completely. I don't really think it was necessary to add "in advance" and it sounds fine. It's not my purpose to impress the reader, but simply make it easy to read. - ww107, Apr 11, 2017
