The clothing doesn't cost much. We're lucky! or Clothing doesn't cost much. (In Spanish the La (or some other modifier) is required for both English meanings, because ropa is the subject of the sentence. - DilKen, Apr 7, 2017

It's sounds a little goofy. The clothing doesn't cost much. We are thirsty! It's grammatically OK, but it doesn't make sense.
