I have to put in a lot of thought on what I'm going to post. So here it is.
When I first registered to this page, I spent the first 3 weeks in the grammar section. I started playing flashcards, in the middle of October 2015, on my free time. Mostly on weekends & holidays. When I reached 100,000 learning points on December 2015, I played until the first 2 weeks of January 2016.
I took a break for 2 months because I was exhausted & need to deal with video lessons worth 6 badges. Around that time, I devised my own plan & strategy. On Daylight Savings Time in Spring 2016, I started playing again to perfect all of my mistakes & deal with video lessons. The first weekend of April 2016, I earned my platinum badge. By that time, I wanted to do an experiment. As in, how many learning points I can score in a day & achieve in a year.
I would play: minimum (3 hours or less), average (6 hours) & maximum (9 hours or more). I was thinking four million points or less would be minimum because I'm slow. Five million points, average, I was quick around the autumn/winter months. Six million points or more would be maximum, but difficult to achieve because I'm not fast enough. Also, I need to take advantage of longer days during the spring/summer months.
As for learning points: minimum (10K or less), average (20K) & maximum (30K or more). Sometimes 40-50 K, if I'm aiming for *00K or *M.
In July 2016, I achieved my first million. Three months later, two million. Thanksgiving's Day weekend, three million. Before the end of January, four million. Saint Patrick's Day weekend, five million.
I play flashcards, both big & small, and need balance. If I play flashcards with 20/50/100 or more question, it's too much & don't want play. If I play flashcards with 5/10 or less questions, I don't feel challenge at all.

One page will display 15 flashcards. If you multiply 15 by 6,225, the total is 93,375 flashcards. Click here & go to page 6,224, 6,223, etc. You will see the beginning of the flashcards dating to 2009. It will never run out because a new flashcard is made everyday. I play flashcards dating from 2009. If I play flashcards from 2010-present, I might be playing a set list from a user registered in 2009. I check the user's profile & play everything. If I see their username in the future, I won't have to play it anymore. The solution for unplayable flashcard is I will find another flashcard that are playable.
Less questions, I finish rapidly. More questions, I finish slowly. Overall, it depends on the flashcard, both long & short.
Inverted punctuation marks, grave accents, tildes, dieresis & spacebars slows me down. When I change the keyboard settings to Spanish, I have trouble memorizing the layout. Even though it's slow, I'm somewhat accustomed to typing Alt+Number.
I will be focusing on video lessons, not just from this page, but other sites, as well. Destinos, LightSpeed Spanish (they use British English & Peninsular Spanish), Aprende Inglés con Rodrigo (300+ lessons) & Hugh Fox III (the multilingual professor teaching in Thailand).
In the 12 months that I played flashcards, it would take a user 2 more years to achieve what I've done. If you have motivation & strategy, anybody can earn this much number of learning points in a short period of time. There are times I want to give up because it was, overwhelmingly, too much. I didn't.
Since, I've proven that five million learning points can be achieved in a short period of time. I will likely play, only in my own pace & time. Now, I want to see how much reputation points I can achieve in a year.

It is hard for us mere mortals to understand how you and the other legends can
achieve such astounding figures but you do , and also do great work on the
forum as well. I just wish that I had your name so that I could hang a hat on it.
Good work mate I am sure there is another million in you so keep going.
Congratulations to the person who has now knocked me out of the number two spot, and became the fourth person ever to reach five million. And without a doubt the fastest to ever get there. I actually do know how much work that takes. I am glad to see you have started putting all the knowledge you have gained earning those points to use in the Forum.
