I won't do any Spanish for you. You need to try the Spanish writing yourself and then repost and you will get feedback on errors, proper usage etc.
You use the imperfect tense to talk about things you used to do frequently with your teddy bear, or what he used to be like, or what the weather conditions were or how old you were when you did something together, or how you felt when you hugged him, etc.
In short, you use the imperfect for lots of things other than specific events such as when your parents gave him to you or the time that he broke his leg, etc.
Get the drift?
Another frequent use of the imperfect is when you talk about something that was going on (in progress or simply happening in the background when some other specific event happened. (for which you would use the preterite.
Good luck. Check back after you've written something.
