Hello everyone. I am well Ray. You're welcome Ian. Have a good day everybody. :) - Nickelbackfan1, Mar 22, 2017
Nice pic. Must be at St.Maarten in the Carribean. I love watching planes and would love to visit there. (It's unlikely that will ever happen but I like to fantasize.) - Sassette, Mar 22, 2017

My favorite thing about going to the beach is the soothing sound of the waves gently lapping at the shore.

Well, that was silly to put a beach so close to a runway!

(I'm not sure of some of the Spanish phrasing, so any help will be appreciated.)

Don't be afraid of the sharks .the risk comes from the air

Pilot: I'm tired of circling. There's nobody at that terminal gate.

Sassette: " Estoy tomando el sol ahora mismo " In the caption the person is doing the action at that moment so you can use the present progressive / present continuous.! I hope this helps :) - FELIZ77, Mar 22, 2017
Never thought of that, Feliz. Thanks. - Sassette, Mar 22, 2017

Pilot to crew: Okay, according to my co-pilot the official count is seventeen stupid tourists who leapt up and aimed their camera phones at us today, so who won the betting pool?

Ann, diecisiete turistAS estúpidAS (You need to match up the gender of both words!) - FELIZ77, Mar 22, 2017
You can translate the word 'so' (just before your question, as, por eso. I think it works better here than así que I hope this helps :) - FELIZ77, Mar 22, 2017
It does help, Feliz. Some of it (estupidos) is careless error, but the "así que" vs "por que" choice is one about which I don't have a clue. - AnnRon, Mar 22, 2017

The captain is talking to the co-pilot: "Nobody told me that we would have to fly dangerously low over a crowded beach to make a landing at the only airport on this island!"

The co-pilot: " Yes, it was a stupid idea, wasn't it? The idea was to give people the opportunity to take close-up photos of this plane!"

The captain: "Stupid...stupid?!!! It's a crazy idea, a totally insane plan! Many people could die and I could lose my licence if this goes (ie: were to end up) terribly badly! Anyway, whose idiotic idea was this?!!!"

The co-pilot: "I really didn't want to have to say: the governor, your father!" wink

I do not envy the poor pilot; Is a very difficult task to land on this island with its so short landing track .

Airport officials have discovered that if they direct the airplanes so that the passengers can see the beach that they have come to visit well, they don't complain so much when they have to wait in the endless lines for customs and for immigration.
