How would you say to someone I didn't mean it in context where you said something and another person interprets it the wrong way?

No lo quería decir. I didn't mean it.

No fue mi intención. That was not my intention.

No quería decir eso. I didn't mean that. (this would be my choice for the above situation)

No quiero decir eso. I don't mean that.

One possibility would be to use "querer decir"

A number of examples here, I will bring over one that is quite apropos.

Pero eso no es lo que quería decir.

That is not what he meant.

Creo que me malentendiste.

If the person reacts in a way that you didn´t intend or says something that you didn´t mean, then: Eso no fue mi intención.
