Help with the word "mismo"!

When using the word "mismo", I know that you can use it in this context; "La misma cosa" but, if the person speaking prior to me was to say "I want food" or something like that, could I say "mismo/a"?

"La misma cosa" would work here. You can also say "lo mismo."

You could definitely say "Quiero lo mismo" but a native speaker would have to advise whether just "Mismo" would work. If it does I'm guessing it would be a colloquialism: like just saying "Same" in English.

I think "Yo también" - "Me too" would also be quite common in the situation you have described. By the way, for Spanish speakers wondering, yes, "Me too" in this circumstance does break a fundamental rule of English, but "I too" sounds very archaic.
