What does "a qué" mean in this context?

What does a qué mean in certain circumstances? For example in a scene of a film where they're talking about a girls mum. the girls says "A qué es guapa". Does this mean something like "she's beautiful isn't she"? Another example is when the mother and daughter are talking about a creaking house, and the mother says "a qué parece que hablan?". I meed more context to tell you exactly what those phrases mean. "A que" normally mean "I BET" or "I am sure" for instance. You are in your room with somebody, Somebody else knocks on the door, you tell the other person. "A que es tu hermanito otra vez! (I bet/I am sure it's you little brother again)

A qué is also commonly used to mean para qué / por qué?

"A qué es guapa"

I have never heard it used this way.
