Hola a todos.

Tengo una pregunta para ustudes/vosotros.

Cómo se traduce la frase "better... than the last"?

Por ejemplo: "I hope every day is better than the last."

Diría "Espero que todos los días sean mejores que los últimos."???

Gracias por sus/vuestras respuestas!!!

Esperar requires subjunctive (in this context) as you used, but one answer did not, every day here really means each day, el anterior as suggested by Ann sounds good to me.

My attempt:

Espero que cada día sea mejor que el anterior

I think you could use "el anterior" in your example sentence because you're saying that you hope every day is better than the one that came before it.

Here is my shot at it:

(I used an example to clarify)

Espero que esta comida es mejor que la última vez.

I hope this food is better than the last time.

thanks. basically "la última vez" is what seems appropriate - cmusba, Mar 6, 2017
Yup, I think so. - k_nelson, Mar 6, 2017
