Rib eye stake?

Rib eye stake?

I know that meat cuts and their names are different from one country to the next, but I thought I would look up "rib eye". As I was typing it ("rib eye"), SD suggested "rib eye steak" and "rib eye stake". What is a "rib eye stake"? smile

I didn't know that. Thanks! - rac1, Mar 5, 2017
I guess I did know that, but I've always thought of it as "spit-roasted". People always salivate over meat. - DonBigoteDeLaLancha, Mar 5, 2017

A "rib eye stake" is something called a misspelling. I happen to have some expertise in this area.

I do wonder where SD's autosuggestions come from. Type how many toil (go ahead, I dare you) and get the suggestion how many toilets are in your living room.

I am very well acquainted with the steak. I was wondering about the "stake". - DonBigoteDeLaLancha, Mar 5, 2017
What is it you want to know about the steak?? - rac1, Mar 5, 2017
Australian cattle are in the main "grass fed " so would be considered far superior to most others that are not grass fed. - ray76, Mar 6, 2017

I Googled and found four recipes for rib-eye stake and one restaurant/wine bar advertising it as the best stake ever eaten. :-o
