**Commands are used when telling someone to do something...in English we form them by taking away the “to” in the infinitive…

Infinitive (Infinitivo) > Command (Mandato) To take Take!
To run Run!
To look Look!
To open Open!

In Spanish, there are Tú, or informal, commands and Ud., or formal, commands, when talking to one person.

Also, there are Nosotros, Vosotros, and Uds. commands when talking to multiple people

For affirmative tú commands, when you conjugate "pongo", that's the present yo form. for any verbs with the -go endings, just drop the -go and you will end up with "pon". ¡Tú llega a mí casa! for verbs that don't end with -go, simply just use the present tú form. An affirmative tú command is like "Get out of the car!" "¡Sal el coche! Your telling someone to do something, you are giving them a command.
