Buenas vs. agradable
I looked up on a translator how to translate (to Spanish) "That person is nice" , "The person is nice" , and "The people are nice" and all of them translated the word nice to "agradable". However, when I searched "Those people are nice" the word nice was translated to "buenas". How come?
Also, when I searched "That person is nice" , "The person is nice", and "Those people are nice" the word "person" or "people" was translated to "persona" or "personas", but it translated "people" in "The people are nice" to "gente"

La gente is the most common way to say the people, but note that it is a singular word and not plural as in English, however, sometimes we say las gentes to indicate family members.
Persona is the literal translation of person. The plural personas is normally used just in very formal or legal stuff.
Translators get confused all the time, so don´t be surprised when this happens.
Buena persona is a good person. Persona amable is a person who is easy to get along with and friendly, but this could also be a criminal, so it doesn´t necessarily mean a person who does good.
Another word in common use is "simpático/a" Felipe es muy simpático,
Mario y Laura son personas muy simpáticas. La gente española es extremadamente simpática.
