Catalan buddy?

Hola! I am wondering if any Catalan speakers are looking to develop their English and would like a buddy. I am looking to learn much more about the Catalan language. Thank you so much, Mary Elena

One of our moderators, ray76 has spent some time in Cataluña, he may know somebody who can help you. You can also Google "Learn Catalán language" and you will find material to get you started. I found a bunch of good beginners' courses.

@Ray76 but do you speak Catalan or Valenciano? I know it's a whole big polemia regarding whether or not those are two different languages. Not only are linguists split, so are my Valenciano friends!! ;) - Mary-Elena, Feb 23, 2017

I was looking for a good language exchange website that I had encountered by accident some 4 or 5 years ago called Holubu (beta) and although I could not find that one today through a Google search just now I found this one instead!, knowing that websites change their names I decided to investigate and came across one called Hellolingo! enter link description here

This is a site that offers, promotes and facilitates language exchange between natives of different languages. I have not investigated it yet but there may some members who live in Cataluña who may be willing to teach you their language! I will explore the site when I have time as I am also in the process of learning to speak several languages.
