Imperfect/Present Subjunctive

I looked on the SpanishDict website and read about the subjunctive tense. Can someone please explain the uses of the subjunctive and maybe a few sample sentences as well? Also, can someone also tell me what the difference between the -ra and -se imperfect subjunctive tense is. When is one used, where, why?

Thanks

Here's a link to an article I wrote on the subject. I never did get around to doing "Part II", but there's enough here to get you started. There are example sentences included.

As far as the imperfect "ra" and "se" is concerned, the "ra" endeings are much more in conversational use, while the "se" endings are found more in literature and "formal" speech.

Here's the link.
