What does it mean when he introduces you as "mi senora "?

I have been dating my boyfriend who is mexican for a few months i am American. He used to introduce me as his novia but now has changed it to senora...what does that mean?

Because in many regions they refer ''mi señora'' as ''my wife''.

I've never heard ''mi señor'', though.
