Amo que...subjunctive?

Does "amo que..." use subjunctive? I want to say various phrases such as "amo que siempre me escuchas" and "amo que siempre me haces reír." Would it be grammatically correct to say "amo que siempre me escuches" and "amo que siempre me hagas reír" ? Gracias!!

Where English uses "to love" as an expression somewhat higher than "to like" Spanish does not. It uses "encantar" and the grammar is exactly like "gustar" and is followed by the subjunctive.

However, there are some, in fact, many speakers who will use "amar" but the Spanish text books instruct you to use "encantar"

Me encanta que me hagas reíir.

There are some instances when not speaking about the actions of people that the indicative may be used as in:

-¿Qué te gusta del cine luxemburgués?

-Me gusta/encanta que tiene mucha acción.

-¿Qué te gusta de ese parque?

-Me gusta/encanta que no hay mucha gente.

Many Spaniards, however will use the subjunctive with these verbs regardless of the situation.

Umm interesting. For me the sentences as "Me gusta que tiene mucha acción" do not sound Spanish. A native speaker would never say that. We would say: "Lo que me encanta es que tiene mucha acción" - txustaboy, Feb 10, 2017
