Mishael is a Hebrew name. The Spanish version is "Misael". He was a friend of Daniel in the Bible. The Assyrians changed his name to "Meshach" of "Sharach, Meshach and Abednego" fame. All this can be found in the book of Daniel 1:6. Mishael is the only English version that I know of. As I said it is really Hebrew as is "David" or "Michael."
