What is the correct form?
I need help with this sentence, I was trying to strengthen my conjugation skills on a practice site and one of the question has me stumped, It's explanation was also really confusing so I thought I'd ask you guys. The question is this...
Qué _____ el profesor que debemos hacer
Which form of the verb Decir which is to speak is correct and why? Would it be Dice, Dice, Decimos, or Dicen,
As I took this practice quiz I chose Decimos but it is wrong, can someone please explain it? Mucho Gracias! ![]()

The professor does the speaking, so it should be third person singular.
I would say, "dice", as previously suggested. But, shouldn't "debemos" be "debamos"? The professor is definitely influencing what "we should do".
I'm taking it as a question from José to Roberto about what the professor wants them to do.
"¿Qué dice el profesor?" "Dice que debamos cumplir la lección antes de salir."
In this case all you have to do is a mental exercise, say in the sentence in your mind placing the subject in initial position and you will get the right conjugation, like this: El profesor dice..... by the way "Muchas gracias" no "mucho gracias"
It is basically saying what is doing the speaking. The professor! (it is third person)
