Am I hearing correctly? Esta bien vs "Ta" bien
Hi guys,
I'm new to the forum & excited to be aboard. I feel like I know a bunch of words & important rules but my ability to form proper sentences is just not there. Being a perfectionist, I plan on learning spanish as close as I can to native fluency.
Anyway, back to the question I like to watch "el chema" and I noticed they say "Ta bien" versus Esta Bien (at least what I hear), are they just saying it so fast that either would be correct or is it a slang version of OK?

Ta bien is sometimes used for está bien
Por fa for por favor is another common one I can think of.
Like in English we say gonna, and wanna.
It's not correct but it's done.

It is not correct. You can say Ta bien instead of "Está bien" when speaking and most people will understand you, but it is not correct and you cannot write it in that way.
This happens with a lot of sentences. In Spanish is common to omit the "d" in the participle:
Acabado - "acabao" - Finished.
Cansado - "cansao" - Tired·
Or said "pa" instead of "para":
Me voy "pa" casa* - Me voy para casa - I go home.
It is NOT CORRECT but it is normal to hear them when speaking.
