Apparently so. Here are a few for starters.

BTW on a purely pedantic note, many people (including the linked article writer) call these short form phrases abbreviations, but strictly speaking most are not. For instance with your examples two are initialisms (BRB, TTYL), and one is an initialism or an acronym depending on how you pronounce it (LOL). For those interested:

Abbreviation: A shortened form of a word: Abbr., Thurs. etc.

Initialism: A collection of letters (normally initials) from a phrase that are pronounced as letters: DNA, CIA etc.

Acronym: A collection of letters (normally initials) from a phrase that are pronounced as words: NASA, LASER etc.

Hi, Jellonz: As correct as your answer may be, it doesn't address the question.

Here is a humongous list of Spanish abbreviations, initialisms and whatever .

And Here's an article about "slangy" abbreviations and text talk.

Hey, Jellonz, next time I'll get my seeing - eye dog to help me. (I hope you are not taking me seriously.) I DO joke around a lot. - Daniela2041, Feb 4, 2017
It's all good Dani. I was going to suggest you bought a colour monitor but I wasn't sure if you were joking or not, or if you'd take that as a joke or not :) Which it would have been of course :) - jellonz, Feb 4, 2017
