Does Spanish have popular abbreviations like English does (such as lol, brb,ttyl) ?

Apparently so. Here are a few for starters.
BTW on a purely pedantic note, many people (including the linked article writer) call these short form phrases abbreviations, but strictly speaking most are not. For instance with your examples two are initialisms (BRB, TTYL), and one is an initialism or an acronym depending on how you pronounce it (LOL). For those interested:
Abbreviation: A shortened form of a word: Abbr., Thurs. etc.
Initialism: A collection of letters (normally initials) from a phrase that are pronounced as letters: DNA, CIA etc.
Acronym: A collection of letters (normally initials) from a phrase that are pronounced as words: NASA, LASER etc.
