When asking for someone to give you something or pass you something for example, I would normally say "pasame el..." or "dame el...". I know this sounds quite direct and blunt, so is it more polite and patient to say "Me pasa el ..." or "me da el..."?

Could is equivalent to "can you " , so "would you " is better , but it is splitting hairs and picky although more correct English . Thanks mate. - ray76, Feb 3, 2017
