Subjunctive Confusion
"La base –que está en el mismo sitio desde 2012- está montada sobre unas patas hidráulicas y esquíes lo cual permite que sea trasladada con relativa facilidad."
The sentence says: "The base, that is in the same site since 2012, is mounted about the hydraulic legs and skis which permit it to be translated with relative ease"
Why does the above sentence use the subjunctive tense? It has a change in subject, but I thought that it needed doubt or something like that...

If you translate this directly to English, which can be done in this particular case, it is "that which permites that it be moved". In English the subjunctive is also used, so in both languages the subjunctive here indicates a future action.
You can consider this doubt if you want, but only because a future action has not yet happened at the time of speaking.
