What is the meaning of pelearle? I felt that it means pelear con él/ella, however I'm not sure. Please explain what it means and why it uses indirect object- why would it not be pelearlo/pelearla?

Pelear (to fight) is an intransitive verb, so it is used without a direct object, ie Lo / La. To indicate someone affected by this action, an indirect object must be used, ie: pelearle, which is the same as: pelear con él / ella.
