Compound words that end with "me"

Compound words that end with "me"

Hello.

I am starting to notice a lot of Spanish words that end with "me" like "dime", "enséñame", and "ayuadame". These seem to be compound words that are basically do [some verb or other] to/for me.

Is there a specific name for these kinds of words?

Can you make words like this out of any verb + me or is it just for certain words?

Thank you.

They are not compound words at all. "me" "te" "le" "lo" "la" and others are merely pronouns that can be attached to an infinitive or a present participle.

I'm going to buy a dress. I'm going to buy it. Voy a comprar un vestido. Voy a comprarlo.

Marco is coming to see me. "Marco viene a verme.

Eat your sandwich! I'm eating it. "Come tu sandwich." Estoy comiéndolo.
