Is "Hoy hace más calor que esperaba." the correct translation?

For me, the most natural way is: Hoy hace más calor de lo que había esperado.

It would be "Hoy hace más calor del que esperaba". You almost translated it correctly but you forget to add "del".

In your sentence you would also have to add "del" so the correct sentece would be: "Hace más calor hoy del que había pensado". - juaner, Jan 10, 2017
