Political, Religious and Personal Posting

It has been brought to my attention on more than one occasion, and by more than one individual, that we at SD are posting too many political, religious and personal posts. It hasn't bothered me personally too much, but it is upsetting other members.

On La Palabra Del Día, which just about everyone knows is what I post each day, the guidelines say this.

"Please keep political, religious or personal statements to a minimum. This is a practice game." I did not come up with this, this was added by the owner of the site, Martha, quite awhile ago.

Sometimes, occasionally, it is okay to post things of this nature, but not to make a habit of it or do it too much. So, I'm asking all members to please think about it and be considerate of other members that may be offended by these things. I don't want things here to seem too restrained, but also we need, and I include myself, to not make posting things of a political, religious or personal nature too often.

Thank you for cooperating and please believe me, I'm not singling anyone out. I have done this too, but I know we are all adults here and can find common ground and continue learning Spanish/English together.

In closing I would also like to ask those that become offended to please be a little more tolerant. If it gets to be too much again, please contact, me, Ray or Ian with your concerns so we can address them. We can't help, if we don't know.

Thank you everyone and happy learning.
