Mi pregunta se refiere al uso de la palabra “su” in la siguiente oración: “Mis abuelos, por su parte, tuvieron mucho éxito en la tienda.” ¿Porque se refiere a “abuelos” deber ser plural, “sus”?

Gracias por sus respuestas,

Possessive adjectives (like all adjectives) are matched to the noun they modify, not the referent in Spanish

Nuestro perro, nuestros perros, nuestra comida, nuestras tortugas.

Su perro- his/her/your(usted, ustedes), their dog.

Sus perros- his/her/your(usted, ustedes), their dogs.

Su is matched to parte, it doesn't matter how many people su relates to.

The short answer is that "su" here is referring to "parte" and not the abuelos.

(If anybody is interested)

No.

I hope this helps
