Welcome to La Palabra Del Día

Make the corrections suggested by other users and moderators in the comments section (try not to use personal pronouns unless absolutely necessary). Use your own words! (Don't use a translator, copy from a book, use song lyrics, etc.) Please keep political, religious or personal statements to a minimum. This is a practice game.

Examples:

1: El candelabro ya está listo para que celebremos la primera noche de Janucá.

The candelabra is ready for us to celebrate the first night of Hanukkah.

2: Anoche no tuvimos electricidad, así que usamos candelabros para alumbrar la casa.

Instalé un candelabro de hierro en la terraza pequeña cubierta de nuestra recámara, pero se cuelga suficientemente bajo que me choco la cabeza contra la parte inferior con frecuencia.

I installed an iron candelabra on the small covered deck off our bedroom, but it hands hangs sufficiently low that I hit my head against the bottom frequently.
