You should use "nunca" in less emotional and less "strong" contexts, and reserve "jamás" for when the emotion or emphasis requires it. People would use "nunca" for things like "I never (nunca) go to that hairdresser's". - KatjaNygard, Dec 23, 2016

"nunca" and "jamás" have the same meanings, but there are subtle differences in meaning. "Jamás" is a stronger version of "never" - KatjaNygard, Dec 23, 2016

Thanks, KatjaNygard! So we know you better it would be a great if you would include your proficiency in both English and Spanish in your profile...as well as gender even though I can figure it out. - Sassette, Dec 23, 2016

I sort of agree with Katja, however, jamás is normally used to mean "never again", ie: ¡Jamás lo haré! - I will never do it again!

One cool thing about these two is that you can use them both together in the same sentence. It's much like the English "never ever"

No quiero ver tu cara, ¡nunca jamás!

I never, ever want to see your face.
