There are many native English speakers here, most of us can offer great suggestions to the English sentences. I will do my best to go through them all, too. We need to buy a piñata in case the neighbors come by to celebrate the "Posadas" festival.

2: Pedimos posada en una casita en el corazón del bosque.

We asked for lodging in a little house in the heart of the forest.

Esta fiesta se basa en la recreación de José y María tratando de conseguir alojamiento en numerosas posadas y ser rechazados, y la gente canta villancicos para pedir posada.

This festival is based on the recreation of Joseph and Mary trying to get accommodation in numerous inns and be rejected, and people sing carols to ask for lodgings.

Tenemos muchos latinos en Nuevo Mexico, pero nunca oído hablar de "Pedir Posada" hasta hoy.

Cuando hemos visitado a mis parientes en Spokane, siempre hemos pedido posada de una de mi hermanas, bueno, excepto una vez que mi esposa exigió que nos quedaran una noche en el Coeur d'Alene Resort. Ahora quiere que nos quedemos en el Hotel Davenport.

When we have visited my relatives in Spokane, we have always requested lodging from one of my sisters, okay, except one time that my wife demanded that we spend a night in the Coeur d'Alene Resort. Now she wants us to stay in the Davenport Hotel.
