Site issues?

Hello everyone,

I have been having a few issues with the site and am curious to if anyone else is experiencing these as well . Lately it has been rather slow and jumpy for me. Usually the site is a little slow, but recently it takes maybe five minutes to open a page as well as posting. Is anyone else having trouble with the site any?

Not having any probs, have you tried turning it all off and rebooting , it can sometimes fix it . - ray76, Dec 2, 2016
Yes sir I have tried that. Nothing had changed. - Nickelbackfan1, Dec 2, 2016
It varies by platform for me. I would imagine the internet connection may also have impact. I have all fairly high speed DSL. I use adblocker on some. My ipad with Safari crashes on almost every page- it can load about a third of a page then get overw - bosquederoble, Dec 2, 2016
Works better if I am patient. But frequently crashes over and over to the point of white out and saying repeated attempts failed. No adblocker on that.I think the ads are very memory intensive and overwhelming at times, but I am not sure. My ipad is old - bosquederoble, Dec 2, 2016
My Internets fine, and my computers fine. it's just this site that been acting funny. Maybe the ads are causing trouble though, they haven't been up since I started having this issue. - Nickelbackfan1, Dec 2, 2016
well some of them anyway, I still see a few. - Nickelbackfan1, Dec 2, 2016
What browser you use can make a difference. Also, the internet can seem like it's fine when in fact, it's slower than it should be. Have you done an internet speed check yourself? Sometimes you need to reboot your modem. - rac1, Dec 2, 2016
I know because I've went through this a few times and it's usually been the internet speed, even though I have a very high one. - rac1, Dec 2, 2016
Okay, I'll try that, hopefully that'll work. P.S I can only use google chrome on my Chromebook ( Laptop) is that a bad browser? - Nickelbackfan1, Dec 2, 2016
I use chrome with no issue on most my platforms. :) - bosquederoble, Dec 2, 2016
So do I. I don't have a problem with Chrome. - rac1, Dec 3, 2016
Since I last answered I am now having trouble, dropping out and so very slow . - ray76, Dec 3, 2016
Oy, hopefully we'll get this fixed mate. - Nickelbackfan1, Dec 3, 2016

Sometimes it's due to so many commercials loading. Sometimes it's due to your internet provider.

In MOST cases, it's your Browser cache and your platform cache (windows, usually) are sooo stuffed with junk that it can't handle any more.

I have a program where I can go in and clean my caches with just a few clicks. There are days I clean almost 60-75 MB out of each cache. This only occurs when I spend a lot of time on SD. If I stay away or only go on for a few minutes, I don't get as much "schmutz" in my caches.

If you don't have this cleaning tool, you can go in manually and clean them out. If you don't know how, find someone who does and get instructions. Buena Suerte.
