Why is this "ir" and not "vamos"?

In the conjugation section on this site for the verb ir, the example sentences all contain the word "ir" rather than their conjugated forms such as "voy," "vas," etc. For instance, this sentence: "Tenemos que ir a la librería" Why would it not be "vamos" since it's talking about we?
I am confused as to when to use "ir."

"Tener que" followed by an infinitive means "to have to do something".
You only conjugate the first verb, tener. The second is always an infinitive.
Tenemos que ir= We have to go. To go is a infinitive in English.
Tenemos que vamos would be like "we have we go"- not exactly but you get the idea.
You use ir whenever you need an infinitive.
Quiero ir. I want to go.
Decidimos ir. We decided to go.
