I am born and raised in the US but I of Mexican decent. I am very light skinned and do not look like the typical Mexican. Will I be made fun when I go to Mexico? I also can not speak very good Spanish.

Don't be surprised to find light-skinned people in Spanish countries; especially Mexico and Spain. Latin American countries with "light-skinned" people
People seem to have this mindset that all people from Spanish speaking countries have darker skin, but I've met native Mexicans, Venezuelans, Chileans, Guatemalans, Spaniards, Salvadorians, Dominicans and Colombians that are all "light-skinned". People have even asked me if I'm from Spain, based off the way I talk.
Chances are you won't be made fun of. People usually appreciate when others learn their native language. They are always willing to help as well. Keep on trying and your Spanish will be native in no time! :D
I am also fair-skinned, but my Spanish is fluent "castillian" from Spain. It sounds a little weird to the Mexicans, but I have had no problems that I know of.
Being a female also helps. I have found Mexicans to be very courteous to women.
However some of my Mexican-American buddies, whose Spanish doesn't quiet measure up to that which is spoken across the border have experienced some disdain and being made fun of.
If you are really light-skinned, you might just try passing yourself off as a Gringo who is learning Spanish. Most Mexicans that I have come in contact with in Mexico, have shown a fondness for Gringos who are doing their best to learn the language.
These are just my opinions based on my experiences. I married into a wonderful Mexican family.
