Mira + la/lo/le

Hi ,
I have a question when we want to use the "complementos directo/indirecto" with an imperative.
For example Mira what we should use direct or indirect? for example i have heard sometimes they say Mirale but isn't that pointing to a direct object? When we want to say Mira a Juan ? it seems Juan is direct object.

In your example Juan is the direct object and mirar is transitive, so Míralo / Mira a Juan are correct.
