Imperfect Help!

Hey, this is my first time using this, and hopefully I can get some answers. In my spanish class, we are doing a project using the imperfect tense. What we have to do is think of a vacation that we have done yearly, and then explain activities that we usually do.

My question is how you would write a sentence, that says, for example, "My family and I would always go fishing."

I only need to see the correct way once, then I will be able to do it.

Would it be "Mi familia y yo siempre ibamos(with accent) a pescar?

Would it be "Mi familia y yo siempre ibamos(with accent) a pescar?

This is correct, but no tilde (accent).

You could also use the verb soler: Mi familia y yo soliamos ir a pescar.

With soler the word siempre isn´t used so much because this word has more of a nuance of habitual action than imperfect verbs.

I think Ian meant an accented "i" in "íbamos." - jellonz, Nov 2, 2016

Yes, well done, the imperfect tense can be translated (depending on context) in a number of ways such as for ir .....

would go, used to go, was going, were going
