Writing to a pen pal

Hi guys!

I've started writing to a pen pal in Spain to improve my Spanish. Could you help me with this sentence?

I want to say something like: My family also can't wait to meet you.

Does this work?: Mi familia también no puede esperar para conocerte.

Mi familia también no puede esperar para conocerte.

In Spanish this sounds like your family is unable to wait. It´s more natural to say something like: Mi familia también está muy emocionada a conocerte / Mi familia también tiene muchas ganas de conocerte.
