Where to place an exclamation mark
I am writing about my house. I want to say,
'Inside of our house there are 3 floors although the second floor is the attic, which is dark and scary like in a horror film!
'Dentro de nuestra casa hay 3 plantas aunque la segunda planta es el ático, que es oscuro y siniestro como en una película de terror
I put the exclamation marks at beginning and end of the whole sentence, but my teacher has marked this wrong and put the first exclamation mark between ', que' and 'es' and not changed 'es'--- to 'Es' to show a new sentence has been made. So which is right?

To put the ¡ between "que" and "es" makes no sense to me because the "que" starts the last clause. You could either delete the "que" and start a new sentence with ¡Es ....., or write: .... es el ático ¡lo cual es oscuro .......! (in this case we don´t usually capitalize the word after ¡ because it really belongs to the entire sentence, but I can´t say if this is grammatically correct or not).
