Has anyone read Adolfo Miller?

Question

I was currently reading this story for my Spanish class and I was wondering if anyone could fill me in on what I am missing in the story. Roughly, I know that Adolfo Miller is a man that showed up one day in tattered clothes with great work ethic. He slowly began working and eventually became the owner of what I think is a farm. On the way he also developed an interest in the author's aunt as well. One day, however, he disappeared taking $30,000 with him.

You are missing quite a lot from the story, and misunderstanding some of it too. If you are at an intermediate level, you should be able to read this story relatively quickly and pick up some new vocabulary as well. I'd be happy to help you with it, but you would need to be more specific with your questions so that I'll know you're actually reading it
