Long numbers modifying a noun

Long numbers modifying a noun

How do I say this number? I don't trust the translators because I'm pretty sure I have to make the numbers agree with the gender of the noun.

They sold 47, 227, 852 tickets

Ellas vendieron cuarenta y siete mil millones doscientas veintisiete mil ochocientas cincuenta y dos entradas

Do both doscientos and ochocientos change to their feminine forms? Also, do I need a "de" before entradas? Would a "de" make a difference?

Your number 47, 227, 852: Ellas vendieron cuarenta y siete millones doscientos veintisiete mil ochocientos cincuenta y dos entradas.

Note:

101 ciento uno, fem. ciento una; apocopado: ciento un

102, 103, etc. ciento dos, ciento tres, etc.

110 ciento diez

111, 112, etc. ciento once, ciento doce, etc.

120 ciento veinte

121 ciento veintiuno, fem. ciento veintiuna; apocopado: ciento veintiún

122, 123, etc. ciento veintidós, ciento veintitrés, etc.

130 ciento treinta

131 ciento treinta y uno, fem. ciento treinta y una; apocopado: ciento treinta y un

132, 133, etc. ciento treinta y dos, ciento treinta y tres, etc.

We only use de after a number to indicate many, ie: Hay millones de autos en el mundo / Hay cientos de autos en este pueblito.

Thank you so much Julian! Since when was there an accent on twenty three? And I never heard of "cienes". Are you sure it isn't cientos? - Ramonaspiker, Sep 30, 2016
"Tres" but "veintiún, veinidós, veintitrés" because "N" and "S" as ending letters without tilde on the preceding voual would make the stress on the second to last sylable. You´re right, "cientos", I don´t know what happened there, but I´ll fix it - 005faa61, Oct 1, 2016
Perfect. Thanks again for all your help! If I wanted to say 221 tickets, would it be doscientos veintiuna entradas and not doscientas veintiuna entradas? - Ramonaspiker, Oct 1, 2016

Correct. Below is more explanaton that should help

From the RAE:

I think I get it now. Numbers modify nouns and not other numbers or prepositions. So since there isn't a noun after doscientos, it stays doscientos and not doscientas. Thanks so much Julian! I got to learn how to use the RAE site - Ramonaspiker, Oct 1, 2016
