5 years ago my mom was diagnosed with cancer. I would do anything because I was here in Ireland, doing my work placement and she was in Equador without money. ( The helpessnes I felt was overwhelming sometimes). The doctor was optimistic for my mom and he said maybe with a little surgery she will get better but not she did not get better and after 3 months the cancer came back and then she decided to started being on chemo. the chemo was killing the cancerous cells anyway it did not work. The doctor told her she was needed hysterectomy. you know what she never lost hope and was always smiling finally we had a happy ending and she got better

There are a lot of ways you can word things. So, I provided some 'better' wording and more options in how to word it (the bold words & the words in parenthesis). I also fixed some grammar mistakes with punctuation.

Five years ago, my mom was diagnosed with cancer. I could not do anything for her because I was here in Ireland due to (or because of) my work placement and she was in Equador without money. There were times when the helpessnes I felt became unbearable. (or Sometimes, the helpessnes I felt was overwhelming). However, my mom's doctor was optimistic. He said that possibly, after a small surgery, she would get better (or improve or recover). Unfortunately, she did not get better (or improve or recover) and after three months, the cancer came back. She then decided to start chemo. The treatment was killing the cancerous cells, but she still was not improving. The doctor told her that she needed a hysterectomy. But you know what? (this is not good grammar but you can say it if it's not a really professional paper) (instead, you could say 'Despite everything she went through'), she never lost hope and was always smiling (or she kept smiling). Finally, she got better (or she made a complete recovery) and we had a happy ending.

Of course we'll help you!

Second line -I think you mean that you could not do anything since you were too far away to help. And I think your first language might be Spanish, so I'm going to try and explain in Spanish too.

-Español: Pienso que tú querría decir que tú no podría ayudar a su madre porque tú estaba viviendo muy lejos de su madre. En ingles, se dice "I could not do anything"

<<...but not she did not get better and after 3 months the cancer came back and then she decided to started being on chemo...>>

-extra "not" before "she". Delete it. Decided is already in the past tense, so you would say start, not started.

-hay un extra "not". Puedes decir "but no, she did not get better". En español es "pero no, ella no mejoró". No es correcto a decir "not she did not"

Last few sentences: -Don't forget to capitalize the first letter of each sentence. And anyway should be "but". Anyways means regardless of no matter what. Delete the "was". Question mark after "what". Period after smiling.

"The chemo was killing the cancerous cells, but it did not work. The doctor told her she needed (a) hysterectomy. You know what? She never lost hope and was always smiling. Finally, we had a happy ending and she got better".

And just because I like to read more emotional stories, I'm going to give you a version of what I would add to the ending because your ending seems rather quick and less thought-out like your first few sentences. Your paragraph is good, but if you're a student or publisher and want to make it better, here are my ideas. Si quieres a seguir leer, voy a rehacer el final. Pienso que puedo mejorar el final para que puede ser tan bueno como las primeras oraciones. Tu párrafo es bueno, pero si eres un estudiante o autor, la gente va a gustar si el final no fue muy rápido.

The chemo was killing the cancerous cells, but it STILL did not work. The doctor told her she needed (a) hysterectomy, BUT you know what? She never lost hope and was always smiling THROUGH THE WHOLE TREATMENT. SHE FINALLY GOT BETTER AND WE HAD A HAPPY ENDING.
