Welcome to SpanishDict. We ask that all new members complete their profiles with their native language, and what level of Spanish you feel you are, like, beginner, intermediate, etc. as well as gender. - ray76, Sep 27, 2016

Hello Skinnari,

Welcome to our SpanishDict learning community smile

You posted these words and asked:

cress that saven that isma hiso .......what does this mean??

It means nothing in the way that it is written down in your sentence! In other words, it makes little or no sense! wink Are you sure that you have written it down correctly?

Crees que saben que (la misma?) hizo? ...would be closer to Spanish, but it is still not completely correct!

Did you try to copy it from a written text message? Or did you try to transcribe it (write it down) as it sounded to you? Perhaps you copied it when listening to a song or a telenovela (Spanish T.V programme like our soap operas )

In my view, as an experienced (non native) Spanish speaker, it is not slang, but just very badly written Spanish! wink

If I were to try to make sense of it (reading between the lines) I would make an intelligent guess at something like:

Crees que saben la misma ....= Do you believe (think) that they know the same ?

or an even wilder guess (changing part of the word order)

¿Crees que saben que hizo la misma = Do you believe (think) that they know he did the same... ?

Perhaps somebody else would like to try to make more sense of it?! It is like trying to complete a small jigsaw puzzle wthout the box to guide you, when the few pieces you are given don't seem to fit!

Any offers? lol

Corrijan mi español si es necesario, por favor smile

Sounds like double Dutch! - margarita1943, Sep 27, 2016
LOl@Doubledutch. Well Margarita, It looks and sounds like very badly written Spanish, if it is Spanish at all! ;) - FELIZ77, Sep 27, 2016
It is so bad that I cannot really turn it into Spanish in my head. I am impressed you could come up with anything. :) - bosquederoble, Sep 27, 2016
Thank you, Bosque, but I am only 'shooting in the dark' ! It is probably due to having had experience of trying to translate very badly written text messsages that some people claim to have received from their new Spanish speaking boy/girl friends and - FELIZ77, Sep 27, 2016
they then posted them in the forum over the years I have been a member here lol - FELIZ77, Sep 27, 2016

The thing is I know it is probably slang. It is copied and pasted. I work in a prison and just trying to translate some things.

Ah, yes that could explain it ! Perhaps it is spoken badly intentionally so as to prevent people from understanding what they are saying?! - FELIZ77, Sep 27, 2016
Without a proper, full context it would be next to impossible to decipher what they (or you, plural) know (saben) - FELIZ77, Sep 27, 2016
I would say the individual is trying to prevent me from figuring it out, usually there is less slang around the sentence so I can understand it, but just not sure with this. - HSkinnari, Sep 27, 2016
It would appear to be Spanglish, a mixture of Spanish and English which is spoken by some Spaniish speaking natives and some Engish speaking natives, the latter who often canot be bothered to learn the Spanish language correctly! ;) - FELIZ77, Sep 27, 2016
The individual is born in u.s. Mom and dad speak solely Spanish so yeah I would agree with you. Thank you for helping me. - HSkinnari, Sep 27, 2016
and as you rightly discern, the person is probably trying to prevent you from understanding the meaning of what they are saying! - FELIZ77, Sep 27, 2016
Thank you, and you are welcome :) That makes sense, because the individual has been been brought up with Spanish, but would have had to learn to speak English in the American educational system! - FELIZ77, Sep 27, 2016
Self corrections: Spanish, (typo) education system, cannot (typo above ) - FELIZ77, Sep 27, 2016
