Tipo + adjective
Ella es atlética. Ella es un tipo muy atlético. Ella es muy atlética. Is that correct because athletic is describing type, and not the girl anymore, or should it be atlética because she's a girl?

When the main noun is masculine (like 'typo" ) the adjective has to be masculine as well.
Here's a good example. Talking about a man. A big rugged Marine with muscles bursting out all over.
Here's a sentence regarding him. El Sargento Ruiz es una persona muy alta.
"persona" is the noun--it's feminine, so that's why the feminine article (una) and the feminine adjective (alta). English speakers have a hard time dealing with this.
