Welcome to La Palabra Del Día
There are many native English speakers here, most of us can offer great suggestions to the English sentences. I will do my best to go through them all, too. For the Spanish sentences, edit your posts according to the native Spanish speaker's suggestions. Use today's Word of the Day in your own Spanish sentence (and include the English translation as well). Try to use the word in a completely new way and vote on the sentences you like best. (Don't use a translator, copy from a book, use song lyrics, etc.) Please keep political, religious or personal statements to a minimum. This is a practice game.

Aquí en el estado de Victoria por muchos años hemos tenido las matriculas con tres letras y tres números. En mi familia hemos jugando un juego que se llama Scrabble de la Carretera, en que tienes que hacer una palabra que contiene las tres letras. La más corta palabra se gana. Desafortunadamente hay nuevas matriculas sin las tres letras y ahora solamente podemos jugar si vemos un carro viejo.
Here in the state of Victoria for many years we have had numberplates with three letters and three numbers. In my family we have played a game called Highway Scrabble in which you have to make a word containing the three letters. The shortest word wins. Unfortunately there are new numberplates without the three letters and now we can only play if we see an old car.
ps we call them numberplates but its the same as license plates. This is the old style
